We stayed at Listel Hotel for 7 nights. It was really beyond our expectations. The room were small but clean. The staff really nice and helpful. The hotel is near kabukicho. I would recommend this Hotel ❤️

I am aware that each country has its own culture, but there are rules in the world of travel, and the hotel industry. This rule is a comprehensive language and generally when people travel or come from another country we use English at the base. The front desk staff speaks a bare minimum of English, not at all for some. We are talking about a hotel that is displayed internationally on several online platforms. Be patient and use a translation app on your phone that will help you a lot. The room I booked a double room because I like to have a minimum of space when I travel especially to settle comfortably. Surprise for a double room that can only have one adult. Because two of us are too tight and we have a lot of trouble moving in the room which is really too small after all. The bed is really horrible, it is very uncomfortable, so it will give you a sore next day guaranteed. For the couch that turns into bed, be careful not to open it in bed mode because you will have no free space to move in the room. The chair has a long history because no padding is noticeable. The door frames are pretty low careful not to bump your head if you measure more than 5'8 '' Food The breakfast at the hotel is not worth it. The selection and diversity of foods are mediocre and for the flavor we will not talk because it is not worth it at all. At the end i dont recommend this hotel at all.

I booked this because I had been advised to stay in Shinjuku and just needed a basic room with bathroom. It was pretty much as expected, basic, needs a bit of updating but it was very inexpensive. However, the reception staff were really helpful. The sheets and towels were clean, there was just about everything you would expect and more including toothbrush and toothpaste, disposable razor, comb, shoe horn, clothes brush and even a torch tucked away. It was also very quiet in the room.

Considering we only planned to sleep in the room for 8 hours a night we didn’t want to blow our budget on a huge fancy hotel. This place was spotless, extremely friendly staff and easy location. Our pro tip for all of Japan is get twin beds. The doubles are nothing more than an oversized single. Twin beds = a great nights sleep after sightseeing all day. Our first room was tiny but that’s what we paid for. Halfway through we were asked very politely if we could move rooms due to a tour group coming in. We were upgraded to a Superior Room which was literally double the size of our room and newly renovated. The superior room was stunning, spacious, meticulously clean, few extra amenities.
